This Week's Topic:
Is Love At First Sight Real?
Love is such a fascinating emotion ,one that, ironically, even the people experiencing it struggle to merely define. I mean, in all honesty, half — if not most teenage romances are trails and errors preparing us for the Big Boy(adult) relationships we may dreadfully encounter soon .
But moving onto this week's discussion, I would like to believe the answer is quite simple...
Absolutely.
(lol, not.)
Now, before anyone starts writing angry letters, let me clarify: attraction at first sight? Completely believable. Love at first sight? That’s where things become a little delusional.
Claiming love at first sight exists is almost like saying Bella Swan truly belonged with Edward Cullen... which, might I remind everyone, is completely incorrect information.
(Team Jacob forever.)
On a serious note, I do believe we can look at someone for the very first time and immediately think:
"Wow... is this Chad Michael Murray appearing in One Tree Hill all over again?"
Or perhaps:
"*cat calling*, did she just step out of a Vogue editorial, or is she secretly Bailey Bass from Avatar?"
And honestly? That feeling is real. The instant admiration, the curiosity, the little spark of excitement — those moments absolutely exist. I would know; I experience it about 90% of the time. (Thank you Skeet Ulrich)
However, love is something much deeper.
You cannot truly love someone if you don't even know who they are. At first glance, all we see is someone's appearance, their style, their smile, their presence but we don't even know their music taste, their values, their personality, their interests and hobbies or who they truly are behind the beautiful exterior.
Because think about it: what if that person is a complete switch-up? Just like how Brad Pitt completely switched up on beloved Angelina Jolie.
(Brad Pitt, we are watching you.)
All I am saying, people, is that we cannot love someone we do not know.
So take the time to get to know the beautiful/ handsome people who walk down your street. Talk to the person you've been admiring at the bookshop. Learn their stories. Find out if they are truly deserving of the love and admiration you want to give.
Because, as I always say:
A pretty face can't buy a proper personality, and a nice body can't guarantee a nice conversation.
Thank you so much for reading, my dear readers.
I will see you in the next post. MWAH

!!!I 100% AGREE!! I believe that people need to know eachother first otherwise differences would appear quickly without any experience and would build up resentment anytime. Also, I love the fact that you used an image from 500 days of summer.
